Who We Are
Klein,
Solomon & Urbach, LLC, is the first international association of
lawyers to exclusively serve Holocaust survivors and their heirs for the
return of property wrongfully seized by the Polish Government before
and after World War II. KSU's main office is in New York City; it's
Warsaw office researches local archives, advances individual claims and
lobbies government representatives with regard to restitution bills
making their way through the Polish Parliament.
Using information
from our clients and records kept by local governments, KSU establishes
the current street address and city or town where a claim is located.
We search court records, mortgage books, old maps and even phone books —
any source that may assist us in establishing a rightful claim.
KSU
has organized Congressional hearings on Holocaust Restitution in 2002
and 2004 and before the European Union in 2002 and 2003. More recently,
in 2007, hearings were held before the European Committee on Foreign
Affairs. Negotiations are pending with the Polish municipalities of Lodz
and Krakow, among others.Currently, there is no
restitution law in Poland. We review cases in anticipation of a
restitution law being passed in the near future.
